Sr Water Resources Engineer/Modeler - Texas (Multiple Location)

Position Summary:

can be based in any of our clients Texas offices (Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin or Houston). Local work will focus primarily on water master plans and on-call modeling/planning services for Texas clients, including rapidly growing cities in the greater Austin area and wholesale water authorities. Regional work including similar projects in New Mexico and on the west coast is also anticipated, as well as support to east coast projects in Virginia and the Carolinas.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Coastal, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license (any state, with willingness to obtain TX PE within 18 months of hire)
  • minimum 8 years of related experience.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Water modeling and master planning experience using Bentley WaterGEMS
  • Water modeling and master planning experience using Autodesk InfoWater
  • Water master planning experience for mid-size to large water systems (100,000 population or more)
  • Water model calibration experience using fire flow tests
  • Texas PE License (upon hire)

Skills and Abilities

  • Expert knowledge in at least two of the following water distribution modeling platforms:
    • Bentley (WaterCAD/WaterGEMS)
    • Autodesk (InfoWater/InfoWater Pro)
    • Aquanuity (AquaTwin Water).
  • Expert knowledge of GIS software and practices.
  • Expert knowledge of constructing, calibrating, and updating hydraulic models using GIS, billing, SCADA, and other available data.
  • Expert knowledge of hydraulics and water system planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
