Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Our client is the leading manufacturer and distributor of fresh food and beverage packaging in North America. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join their team.

Our Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic must have excellent mechanical skills.

Functions:

• Follow Safety and Health policies and procedures
• Maintain equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make adjustments
• Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Work on gear boxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pumps.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
• Perform simple machinist skills
• Use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to drive material handling equipment or be trained to drive material handling equipment.

Requirements:

• Must take Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude Test
• Minimum 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience or industrial maintenance associates degree with a willingness to grow into the job
• Track record of staying with a company a minimum of 2 years
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
• Computer skills and/or ability to be trained on work order system
• Ability to effectively communicate to aid in trouble shooting
• Welding experience a plus
• Must show initiative and have track record working alone and/or part of a team
• Must have strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methods
• Experience or desire to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift a plus.
